Thank you so much for your support and encouragement of my academmic pursuits and goal to obtain a higher decation. As a first-generation college student and a daughter of a single mother, there were obstacles and financial hardships I had to face to achieve my dream of completing college and creating a better life for myself. To put is simply, this scholarship will impact me immensely, and I am so appreciative. I will continue to strive to secure a promising and successful future for myself as an environmental lawyer. I wil never forget the people and organizations that helped me.

These last four years have flown by! I just wanted to say thank you for helping me get through college. I just finished my student teaching in 6th grade..., and this Sunday...I will be graduating from Pacific Union College with a degree in Liberal Studies. I'll receive my multiple subject teaching credential in August. I will finally get my own classroom and will be teaching 6th grade. I am so excited and so blessed, but I couldn't have done it without your help, so thank you again.

The Pope Valley Scholarship enabled me to reach my goal to become a mechanical engineer. After graduating from st. Helena High School it was financially diffiult for me to take the first steps...because I was the eldest of five children with a one-parent wage household. Because of the Pope Valley Scholarship I was able to buy books and pay for transportation to Napa College. After I transferred to UC Berkeley, the scholarship played a big part in my completing my degree. I'm gratefuol to the scholarhsip board for this opportunity. Thank you.

Meet Some of Our Recent Graduates

Above: Jennifer Ramirez earned a BS in Business Administration: Concentration in Accounting at CSU Monterey in 2019. She just completed her Master’s in Public Accounting at UC Davis.

Left: Gianna Gammello earned her BS in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning at UC Davis. She graduated in March. Gianna was the Pope Valley Scholarship Funds's first Alice Carey Scholar, an award based on her superior academics which comes with an addition monetary award beyond her original grant.
